With Frailty it's similar: TTK is 85s base So the DPS is 100/91.43 = 109.375%, that is 9.4% bonus DPS you get from Ruthless Let's say normally your TTK is 100s - and now we add Ruthless: TTK is always inversely proportional to your DPS so if you figure out the new TTK, it's easy to get DPS bonus from there. So the best way to calculate this bonus is by thinking in terms of Time To Kill (TTK). However, due to this very damage bonus you will spend less than 30% of the time fighting the last 30% of mob's HP. Otherwise test them out in game to see which you prefer. Most people treat Ruthless as a 40% damage bonus that's active 30% of the time. Best thing I can say is to head over to d3planner and change some stuff around and see if you want objective measure. Not sure there is really a "right" answer for most of these questions. Think avalanche (ground stomp) wins but someone else is gonna have to give an opinion You wouldnt seem to lose out on anything overall except a bit of crit - which if you are maxing your set you will have a decent amount, and then just the bonus of 20% aoe damage. On top of it being another stack bonus to bane of the stricken and you can use the pull rune, you get a bigger benefit to the aoe of earthquake and avalanche while you sit there. What would you have said about swapping bloodshed with ground stomp? I like bloodshed with the bonus but still think dread irons passive might outweigh bloodsheds viability. Yeah i meant for swapping out my hellfire, I could have stuck with unforgiving if we had berserker rage as a passive but sounds right with no fury anyway.
